APC has not zoned national offices — Akpanudedehe

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) has dismissed as fake, news reports that it had zoned the various offices of the party.

Secretary of the Committee, John James Akpanudedehe, told journalists that the party has not taken any action in regards to zoning even as news grow rife that the party has zoned its national chairmanship position to the North Central and the National Secretary to South East.

The party has however released an approved timetable of activities leading to the February 26 national convention of the party.

The schedule signed showed that the party will receive the interim report of the Senator Abdullahi Adamu led National Reconciliation Committee on 31/01/2022 while it has scheduled to consider and adopt reports of the State Congresses February 2nd, and quickly followed on January 3rd by the inauguration of the new State Executives of the party.

Sales of Forms for APC National Offices to all aspirants vying for National Offices are scheduled to commence 14/02/2022

While submission of completed forms and accompanying documents to the National Secretariat comes on or before 19/02/2022, the same day details of Sub-Committees would be made public.

Details of activities and dates are as follows:

-Screening of all aspirants vying for National Offices – 20th – 22nd of February. 2022

-Screening Appeals to hear and resolve complaints arising from the screening exercise – 23/02/2022

-Accreditation of all statutory and elected delegates to the National Convention – 24th – 25th of February 2022

–National Convention to elect National Officers to the National Executive Committee (NEC) – 26/02/2022

-National Convention Appeal to hear and resolve complaints arising from the National Convention – 28/02/2022
