Court remands Indian tanker driver for vandalising Dangote Refinery cables

A Federal High Court in Lagos has remanded an Indian national, Nitheshi Kumar, in the correctional services custody following his arraignment for alleged vandalism.

Kumar, a water tanker driver, was accused by the police of vandalising electric cables at the Dangote Petrochemical and Oil Refinery Project, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.

Kumar pleaded not guilty.

Justice Daniel Osiagor remanded the defendant in the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCoS) and adjourned the matter till November 19 for trial.
