Seven killed, scores injured as suspected herders attack Taraba community

No fewer than seven persons have been killed by gunmen reported being suspected herders in Nega village of Donada ward in Lau local government Taraba State.
It was gathered that the attackers shot sporadically at the people, leading to the death of about seven persons leaving several others with various degrees of gunshot wounds.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Abdullahi Usman, said that the attack did not take place in Taraba but in the neighboring state of Adamawa.
According to him, the affected community (Nega) shared a common boundary with Adamawa State.
He said, “the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in the area said the attacked took place in Adamawa and not In Taraba State.” (Daily Independent)
