Seven kidnapped victims, who were abducted from Ruwan Doruwa district, in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State about three months ago, have allegedly died of hunger and starvation in their abductors’ den.
It was gathered that the kidnapped victims died due to serious hunger as the bandits could no longer feed them.
It was also gathered that fourteen women who were abducted alongside the victims had since been released after payment of N4 million ransom, but the seven kidnapped victims were not released as they could not pay any ransom.
Recall that three months ago, suspected bandits stormed Ruwan Doruwa community and kidnapped scores of people, including the fourteen women who were later released. (Daily Independent)
