Tinubu hails Ooni of Ife at 47
Former Lagos State governor and All Progressives Congress stalwart, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has congratulated Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11, on his 47th birthday.
He commended Ooni for his leadership role in Yorubaland and beyond, saying his energy and dynamism have been helpful in nation-building.
In a statement by his Media Office signed by Mr. Tunde Rahman, the former Lagos governor said: “I congratulate Ooni of Ife, Kabiyesi, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11 as he turns 47.
“Oba Ogunwusi is an eminent traditional ruler. His leadership role in Osun State, Yorubaland and across the country is noteworthy.
“Since his ascension to the throne in 2015, he has demonstrated his love for peace and unity. As co-Chairman of National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria, Ooni has continued to work assiduously for peace, stability and unity of the country.
“I particularly commend his energy and dynamism. These are qualities that have proved helpful in nation-building.
Ooni of Ife is also a known advocate for the empowerment and emancipation of women and young people, a project to which he is totally committed.
“My prayer for the royal father on this occasion of his 47th birthday is that God Almighty grant him many more years on the throne, good health and renewed strength to continue to help in maintaining unity within the Yoruba race and in Nigeria generally”.
