Police kill bandit, rescue six kidnap victims in Kaduna

Operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command and Operation Puff adder II have neutralised a bandit in Fatika District of Giwa Local Council in the state.
The operatives also arrested three kidnappers in Lere Local Council and rescued six victims, while recovering dangerous weapons from the criminals.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Muhammad Jalige, stated that the operatives on October 2, 2021, about 01.00 pm, acting on credible intelligence, stormed Yadi forest in Fatika and engaged bandits in a fierce gun battle, where one was neutralised and others fled with bullet injuries into the forest
AS the security situation worsens in Shiroro Local Council of Niger State, the residents of Karanbana community have expressed readiness to pay for security.
“We are ready to pay from our pocket to security agents for the safety of our lives,” Aliyu Sani, who escaped from the village, said.
His sentiment is not different from others interviewed by The Guardian.

It has fixed its Citizens Summit for National Integration, Peace and Security, North-West zone in Kano for October 14, 2021, to address national issues.
Addressing journalists yesterday in Kano, the summit coordinator, Dr. Sule Ya’u Sule, raised concern over secessionist agitation across ethnic nationalities.
To prevent disintegration, the don disclosed that NIPR was providing a veritable platform for citizens to ventilate their grievances.
