Yoruba group unfolds plan for seminar on restructuring
The Yoruba Leadership and Peace Initiative (TYLPI) is to hold a national seminar on the restructuring of Nigeria with a view to providing clarity on the subject.
The group said it was of the view that restructuring was an important step towards ensuring enduring peace, progress, unity and cohesion in the country.
TYLPI’s Director of Publicity and Media Affairs, Mr. Tunde Ipinmisho, in a statement, said the seminar would hold at the Segun Aganga Hall, University of Ibadan International Conference Centre on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 by 10:00 a.m.
The Leader of the Afenifere Group, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, will chair the seminar, with the theme, “Strategies and Tactics for the Actualization of a Restructured Nigerian Federation.”
Speakers expected include Dr. G. G Darah, a professor of Oral Literature, Folklore and Cultural Sciences, Delta State University, Abraka; Dr Usman Bugaje, a former member of the House of Representatives and the founding Secretary-General of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), as well as Alhaji Adegbenga Kaka, one-time deputy governor of Ogun State and a former senator representing Ogun East senatorial district.
