How angry villagers overpowered, killed kidnapper in Taraba

A motorcycle rider simply identified as Haro has been killed in Jauro Manu village in Gassol Local Government Area of Taraba State.
The suspect was killed when angry villagers overpowered some kidnappers who invaded their community on Monday night.
Daily Trust gathered that the villagers came out in their number when a suspected kidnapping gang attacked the house of a largescale farmer identified as Irimiya Musa.
A resident whose house was attacked told Daily Trust that the attack was the third by suspected kidnappers.
He said during the first attack, he was lucky to escape into a neighbour’s house, but his wife and his daughter were kidnapped.
He said the kidnappers released his daughter and gave her a SIM card to give him to communicate for ransom negotiation.
He added that his wife was held in captivity for three days but she escaped on the fourth day.
He said during the second attack, the gang did not meet anyone in the house.
The resident stated that the area is under siege.
Contacted, the police spoke person Taraba police command, ASP Abdullahi Usman, said he was in a meeting and will get back after getting details of the incident from the Divisional police officer in Mutum Biyu. (Daily Trust)
