Why Abuja does not have a Minister in Buhari cabinet — Gwaza
Ex-Director of Human Resources, Federal Capital Territory, Lazarus Gwaza, has said that the Federal Capital Territory lost out in the appointment of a minister who is an indigene of Abuja because it has consistently voted against President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said this at the Kabusa ward, where he joined the party and promised to be a good party man that would attract political and infrastructure benefits to the ward, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) and the Federal Capital Territory at large.
Gwaza said, President Buhari considered the voters in the Federal Capital Territory a necessary political evil for consistently voting against him in past elections.
According to him, the political leadership of the Federal Capital Territory has decided to position the Territory to become politically relevant to all parties even as he maintained that the APC offers better opportunities.
According to Gwaza, “We have lost a golden opportunity because before now, we collected our eggs and put them, in one basket. Now that we are wiser, we want to make sure that we put our eggs in separate baskets.
“So that when a basket falls, we will not be at a loss. That is why we are building the APC as a formidable party that will stand strong in the Federal Capital Territory. I want to tell you one secret that somebody revealed to me.
If Abuja was for APC, President, Muhammadu Buhari, would have given us a minister, yes! He told us that we are a necessary evil because we have not been voting him. Now that Abuja is gradually becoming an APC, we are going to have a minister. I want to assure you that we have more to gain politically from the APC than any other party in the FCT,” he said.
Present at the Kabusa ward rally to receive the new entrant are Hon. Zaphania Jisalo and other leaders of the party.
