Delta All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders have called for postponement of ward congress to allow thousands of aspirants who have paid for forms collect and return same.

There was also confusion as hundreds of angry aspirants besieged the Delta APC Secretariat in Asaba with bank tellers.

They left empty handed after their request for forms were turned down.

Many aspirants expressed frustration over their inability to collect forms and submit to the committee.

The three- man committee escaped being lynched by aggrieved aspirants.

George Ojong Egbe, who heads the committee, who addressed party members, absolved his three-man committee of blame.

Egbe said he got clearance from APC headquarters to commence sales on July 24 but ran out of forms on 26th July.

He added the extra forms promised from APC national headquarters to make up for the shortage were yet to arrive.

The APC ward congresses are billed to commence on July 31 nationwide. (The Nation)
