A renowned cleric, Rev. Ime Bassey Ekanem, has made a case for full participation of Nigerian women in leadership.
In a new book titled, “Nigerian women and the way forward”, the Reverend gentleman says the breadth and depth of the issues that women face worldwide is overwhelming.  Yet current books and other literature about male-female relationships and womens rights do not address immensely the underlying cause that is fueling the crises women are dealing with today.
According to Ekanem, his concern is that the longer this cause is overlooked, the longer the plight of women will continue.  That is why, he has written this book for Nigerian women to identity factors that hinder them from getting the leadership positions in the country.
The new book will be presented at a public function on Friday, July 30 at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Ikeja, Lagos.
The event will be graced by top dignitaries including wife of the vice president, Mrs.Dolapo Osinbajo (Special Guest of Honour), Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Chief Host), and many others.
