Borno to recruit 3,000 teachers

1

Borno State Government on Tuesday announced its plan to recruit 3,000 certified teachers.

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum announced the plan while commissioning five primary and secondary schools built by the state’s Education Trust Fund.

He said the teachers would be sent to basic and secondary schools.

Rehabilitation works were carried out on existing structures in the five schools, while new classrooms were constructed.

More than 5,000 buildings were destroyed by Boko Haram insurgents in primary, secondary and tertiary schools in different parts of Borno State since 2009, according to a 2016 report.
