Two killer cultists, kidnapper nabbed in Delta

Operatives of the Delta State Police Command on Friday nabbed two cultists involved in the killing of German Enameg at Iwhrepokpor Community, Ughelli North Local Government Area.
Spokesperson of the Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, revealed that the suspects, Timothy Ononeme ‘m’ 35 years old, of Imowhe Ekiugbo Ughelli North and one Junior Ogboso ‘m’ of Ogheneweta Street Ughelli were arrested when a combined team of security agencies raided a criminal hideout.
Edafe said, “Commander Ughelli detailed a combined team of police operatives/vigilante groups and raided the suspected hideout of cultists.
“Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects are allegedly responsible for the killing of one German Enameg (aka Believe) who was murdered in front of his wife’s shop on the 25/6/2021 at Iwhrepokpor Community Ughelli North LGA.”
He further disclosed that one of the suspects, Timothy, confessed to being the leader of the Supreme Vikings confraternity in Ughelli.
He revealed that the suspect killed the deceased due to a raging leadership tussle in the confraternity.
In a related development, a member of a notorious kidnap gang, Godspower Omosomvofa ‘m’ 39yrs of Otokutu community in Ughelli North LGA.
It was revealed that the suspect kidnapped one Tayo Badamasi with a black Toyota Corolla car with Reg no YEN 346 LE black along Ughelli road Agbarho.
Edafe said that Police through High tech intelligence gathering, trailed the gang to cemetery road Warri.
“The DPOS Agbaro Division and ‘A’ Division Warri in a combined effort detailed patrol teams from their respective divisions who went after the kidnappers, who fled their operational vehicle while abandoning the victim”.
He then disclosed that the suspect was apprehended while in a mechanic workshop to repair the black Toyota Corolla car with Reg. No. YEN 346 LA, the gang used in kidnapping their victims.
Edafe said further investigations are ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspects.(Saturday Independent)
