EFCC arrests Abia State officials for Paris Club refund fraud

The Enugu Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested some officials of the Abia State government for matters relating to the Paris Club refund.
Our correspondent gathered that the Abia State Government officials were arrested on the evening of Thursday, June 17, 2021.
Their arrested officials are to explain their respective roles in the Paris Refund scandal to the anti-graft agency.
The officials said to have been detained at the EFCC Enugu Zonal Office are both former and serving members of the Abia State Government.
EFCC spokesperson Wilson Uwujaren could not be reached as of the time of filing this report to give further details. (The Guardian)
