Obiano, Ike Oye for Lagos APGA Unification and Award Ceremony

Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA),Ozonkpu Victor Ike Oye, would be the special guests at the Lagos State chapter of the unification and award ceremony of the Lagos State chapter of the party taking place on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Apple Event Centre by Ago Palace Way, Amuwo Odofin.

The historic event would hold under the distinguished chairmanship of Nze Chikwendu Uzoma (Ifo-Ego Nkwere).

Speaking on the epoch-making event, chairman of the organising committee, Hon. Cyril Azuka Ukwu, said that the purpose is to build a formidable APGA in Lagos State and also appreciate those who have worked tirelessly for the progress of the party.

According to him, “APGA remains the only political party in the country that has not disappointed the electorate and as such has the capacity to take Nigeria out of the woods.”

Hon. Azuka Ukwu said that the party has a lot of potentials in Lagos State, adding that the unification of the members would mark the beginning of harnessing and repositioning the party to make it competitive in the state.

According to him, the other people expected to grace the occasion include the Deputy National Chairman of the party, Chief Uchenna Okogbuo; National Assistant Organising Secretary, Steve Nwoga; Lagos State Acting Chairman, and Chief ThankGod Ibeh; Nze Basil Osuokwu, the National Coordinator, Ndigbo Amaka, the umbrella body of all the major markets in the country, among others.

 “We want to use the unification and award ceremony to bring our members who are no longer with us back to the party, because as the saying goes, a people united can never be defeated. We want to make APGA a party to beat in Lagos State and politics is a game of numbers, so we need people. Again, we also want to appreciate those who have worked in the sun and in the rain to make the party what it is today,” he said.
