Gunmen have attacked Ojoto Police station in Idemili South local government area of Anambra State.
It was gathered that one Police Inspector was killed during the attack in the afternoon.
However, it was gathered the station was not burnt as police operatives repelled the attack.
Anambra police spokesman, Ikenga Tochukwu, said he was planning to visit the area immediately, adding he would respond after the trip.
But a senior police officer, who spoke in confidence, confirmed the attack, stating that “we lost one inspector today again.”
The source said Police Commissioner, Chris Owolabi, was preparing to visit the police station already.
An eyewitness claimed that the hoodlums came in three Sienna vehicles but were repelled by policemen on duty. (The Nation)
