2023: Buhari’s top ally floats factional APC in Kano

President Muhammadu Buhari’s top ally and a former National Chairman, Buhari Organization TBO, Alhaji Abdulmajid Danbilki Kwamanda has created a new APC Akida in Kano following irreconcilable differences with the leadership of the ruling party in Kano.
Briefing newsmen on the emerging development on Tuesday in Kano, Alhaji Danbilki Kwamanda accused Governor Ganduje and the APC State caretaker Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas of strangulating the party with unpopular and undemocratic terms.
The tough talking APC stalwart known to have championed President Muhammadu Buhari’s ideologies since 2003 when the President first contested for the Presidency under APP said the duos should be held responsible for sacrificing the party’s unity on the alter of selfishness.
Kwamanda explained, “the actions of the Governor as well as the party caretaker Chairman that favours imposition in place of standard democratic practices clearly negate the principles of democratic norms and internal politicking”.
He revealed, “we have already designed our movements and how we are going to ensure that our new APC Akida makes it to the Government House come 2023”.
Danbilki Kwamanda press’ conference on Tuesday in Kano was against the backdrop of his purported suspension from the party by officials of Municipal wards.
Although, he denied knowledge of the suspension, but was quick to add that APC is a party founded by the law and it has its mechanisms of addressing issues bothering on discipline.
He said one could not be suspended or sacked from a party without fair hearing. He therefore dismissed the action of local party officials as null and void.
Kwamanda declared: “I think those who say they suspended me are doing a hatchet job, but they have since failed because right now as you can see we have split the party, and with the emergence of our Akida factionbwe will see who is who”.
Commenting on probable reactions of President Muhammadu Buhari over the development, Kwamanda said, “Buhari does not control my political ideology and he knows that whatever I’m doing is the right thing”.
He said their gubernatorial hopeful Senator Barau Jibrin will contest the State Gubernatorial seat and they would ensure that he emerges victorious weather Governor Ganduje and his cohorts like it or not.
All efforts to speak to the State acting APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas and or any government spokesperson was unsuccessful as their known GSM lines could not be reached. (Agency report)
