The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi State said it has petitioned the Inspector General of Police and the top hierarchy of the security agencies in the country to hold Governor David Umahi responsible, if anything untoward happened to members and leaders in the state.
The chairman of the party, Elder Fred Udeogu, who said this at the weekend while briefing journalists in Abakaliki, capital of Ebonyi state, added that his party won’t tolerate threats from Umahi and the ruling All Progressives Congress in the state.
Udeogu condemned the comment credited to Umahi wherein he accused some PDP stalwarts in the state, including him of inciting bandits to launch attacks in the state.
He said, “The governor was mentioning the names of our state leaders, saying that they are responsible for the crisis taking place in the state, but I don’t know the type of crisis he is talking about.(Daily INDEPENDENT)
