The Commissioner of Police Anambra State Command CP Chris Owolabi has reiterated the earlier ban on the use of tinted glasses and covered plate numbers on vehicles by members of the public as issued by the Anambra State Government on 21st March, 2021.
Owolabi said it was necessary to reemphasize the ban on vehicles with tinted classes and those with covered plate numbers due to the current security situation in the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra state command of the Nigeria Police DSP Ikenga Tochukwu in the command’s press statement made available to journalists at the weekend in Awka, noted that the commissioner of police enjoined Anambra citizens to voluntarily comply with the government’s directive in this regard as erring persons shall have their vehicles impounded by security agents at various locations within the state.
The police boss in the state further appealed to Ndi-Anambra to cooperate with the police to serve them better so as to maintain the status of Anambra being the safest state in the country. (Sunday Independent)
