The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has lifted the suspension of Azman Air operations.

Azman Air announced this on its verified Twitter handle on Saturday.

The NCAA had suspended the operations of all the Boeing 737 aircraft in the fleet of Azman Air Services Limited over safety-related issues with effect from March 15, 2021.

According to the aviation authority, the suspension was pursuant to Section 35 (2) of the Civil Aviation Act, 2006 and Part 1.3.3.3 (A) of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig.CARs) 2015.

The suspension, NCAA said, was to enable the authority to conduct an audit of the airline to determine the root cause(s) of the incidents and recommend corrective actions to forestall recurrence.

Sources at the airline told News Express NCAA and management of Azman Airline concluded a zoom meeting this afternoon and that “the airline hopes to roll out flight schedule shortly next week.”
