Gunmen kidnap five family members, demand ransom

A family of five from Ajowa Akoko in Akoko North-West Local Government Area of Ondo State were reportedly kidnapped by some unknown gunmen at Ayere Area in Kogi State on Sunday.
The abductees, Mr Ibrahim Olusa, his wife and three children, were said to be travelling to Abuja from Ajowa Akoko, where they went for Easter celebration before they were abducted.
It was gathered that the kidnappers have contacted the family and demanded N10 million before they could be released.
The incident was said to have brought a lot of apprehension to the residents of the town.
A Community leader in Ajowa Akoko and immediate past Chairman of Ajowa Akoko Community Council, Mr Ajayi Bakare, who confirmed the incident attributed the kidnapping and robberies on that road to the deplorable section of the road that belongs to Kogi State. (The PUNCH)
