Sheikh Gumi says he is not encouraged to meditate anymore

Gumi in an interview with Television Continental (TVC) said  that he is not moved to mediate anymore, blaming the government and politicians for not helping the situation.

Gummi said: “I have been discouraged in all efforts to mediate on this issue of kidnap by bandits.

“We have been able to identify the rogue leader who kidnapped those students.

“Those behind the abduction of the 39 students of Federal College of Forestry Mechanization Kaduna, have been identified. But, I have not been encouraged to mediate,” renowned Kaduna-based Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ahmed Gummi, said on Tuesday morning.

“He (the rogue leader) has never attended the peace negotiations we had with other bandits. Even the one we called in Niger State, he refused to come.”
