Principal of Mt St Gabriel’s Secondary School Makurdi, Father John Asen, has been directed to proceed on administrative leave with immediate effect for alleged brutality of a student.
This directive was handed down by the Diocesan Bishop Wilfred Anagbe asking the principal to vacate his office following a preliminary investigation in a petition against.
The petition bothers on the physical abuse and torture of the student.
The Education Secretary, Father Terungwa Tor has asked Father Asen to hand over to the vice Principal administration who is expected to run the affairs of the school.
It would be recalled that pictures of a student of the school went viral following alleged brutality by the principal. (The Nation)
