Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel, has told striker, Timo Werner, that there is no room for ‘self-pity’ after the 24-year-old saw a goal chalked off in the Blues’ Premier League 1-0 victory against Liverpool at Anfield on Thursday night.Werner had the ball in the back of the net after rounding Liverpool goalkeeper, Alisson Becker, and clipping into the empty goal.
His effort was, however, ruled out by the narrowest of offside calls.The Germany attacker has only scored one goal since Tuchel took over from Frank Lampard last January.But Tuchel, who was satisfied with Werner’s display, told him he doesn’t need to worry too much about his lack of goals for Chelsea this season.
