Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has emerged as the best
Polytechnic in Nigeria.

Joe Ejiofor, Head, Public Relations, stated this in a statement made available to journalists in Lagos.

At the last count, Nigeria has 31 federal, 48 states and 61 private polytechnics spread across the six geopolitical zones.

The College Webometrics ranking had been in the upward
movement from 7th position in 2018 and within a spate of one year climbed to the second position, and subsequently ranked number one Polytechnic in Nigeria in 2021.

According to a copy of the statement made available to Daily Independent, the management credited the current status of the 74-year-old college to several developments.

It listed the developments to include the peaceful and rancor-free environment with a stable academic calendar, conducive learning environment with massive renovation and upgrading of entire structures in the College to international standard, digitization of the library with e-learning facilities, the unveiling of the largest Museum in any Nigerian higher institution, strengthening of academic and administrative activities driven by ICT.

Others are the creation of strong linkages with the industries to determine real skills competencies for both staff and students, among others. (Daily Independent)
