The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) highest goalscorer was initially handed a six-month deal but the contract was later extended to one year after the English League was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ighalo became the first Nigerian to play for the Premier League team and will return to the Chinese Super League side when his contract officially ends on January 31st, 2021.
A number of clubs in Europe and others in the US Major League Soccer (MLS) are reportedly interested in the services of the Nigerian forward. (Channels TV)
