Two suspected internet fraudsters (Yahoo boys) have been nabbed in possession of a coffin in Ogwashi Uku, Aniocha Council Area of Delta State.

It was gathered that they were arrested by local vigilantes in Agidiehe quarters in Ogwashi Uku town at about 9.30 pm on Thursday night when they were conveying the coffin from their house.

It was learnt that the vigilante and some area boys were parading the suspects with the coffin on their heads before the intervention of the Police at Ogwashu Uku.

INDEPENDENT source who requested anonymity said female panties and brassieres were found inside the coffin when the suspects were forced to open it.

The development was said to have attracted a small crowd from the neighborhood as women and youths expressed concern over the activities of the Yahoo boys in the area.

“The crowd would have mobbed the boys if not for the intervention of the police.

“Where did they get the pants and other female items in the coffin,” an eyewitness asked, praying that the law should take its course to serve as a deterrent to others.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, confirmed the incident. (INDEPENDENT)
