Aggrieved youths from Ukwu-Nzu Community, Anio¬cha North Local Government Area, Delta State, Thursday stormed Asaba in a protest rally.

The protest cannot be unconnected to the gruesome murder of their kinsman, Obiageli Joy, whose body was found buried in a shallow grave at her residence on September 4, 2020 in Government Residential Area, Asaba.

The protesting youths who were dressed in black attires carried candles and placards with inscriptions such as, “Ni¬geria Police, Do your job, “Justice for Oby, The culprits must not go unpunished; We need justice” to show their grievances to necessary quarters.

Uncle to the deceased, Comrade Clifford Osahenye, expressed displeasure over the development of the case, saying that the action of the Police Command has raised fear of denial of justice.

He said, “They invited us some days ago as they told us that Government ought to finance the expedition of the action on getting all the requirements needed to know what took place but since the government is not forthcoming with the necessary miscella¬neous, they told us that we can finance it to make it go faster.  (Daily Independent)
