Ban of trucks on Minna-Bida road begins September 15

The Niger State Government has announced a ban on articulated vehicles from plying Minna-Bida road effective from 12 midnight of September 15, 2020. This is to allow for speedy completion of the road construction.

The Chairman, Infrastructure and Monitoring Committee Ibrahim Balarabe, stated this on Tuesday on behalf of the State Government, after an expanded meeting of the Committee held at the Government House, Minna.

The State Government maintained that the ban is not to inflict pain on any person or group of persons but to improve on the road Infrastructure of the state.

“While the modalities for the ban will be made public as events unfold, the State Government regrets any inconveniences this may cause the people,” Balarabe said. He called for the cooperation and support of the people to ensure that the desired objective is achieved.
