The Kwara State Commissioner for Special Duties, Hajia Aisha Pategi has formally resigned her appointment.

In a letter dated, Friday 28th August, 2020, she declared that she humbly wish to formally announce her resignation from the cabinet of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

In the she personally signed, Hajia Pategi disclosed that life is in phases and she is bold to say that having journeyed the political terrain with Governor AbdulRahman, now is the time for her to leave and focus on new ideals.

“Going forward, my interest in Community Service and Grassroots’ Development will continue,” she added.

She expressed appreciation to God Almighty for giving her the grace and opportunity to serve as commissioner for Local government and now exiting as Commissioner for Special Duties, serving her fellow Kwarans and representing Pategi Local Government in her drive to better the lot of Kwarans.

Meanwhile, the State government through the Commissioner for Communications, Harriet Afolabi- Oshatimehin, in a two paragraph statement confirmed receiving the resignation of Hajia Pategi who was Commissioner for Special Duties.

According to the statement, ”the government accepts same and wished her the best in her future endeavours.”   (VON)
