Police Recruitment 2020: Akwa Ibom State Police Command release Timetable for screening

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has released the timetable for the physical/credentials screening of candidates who applied for recruitment into the Nigerian Police Force (Constables)

According to a statement made available to News Express dated August 22 and signed by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), N-Nudam K. Fredrick, a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), the  screening will be conducted between  August 24 and September 6,  2020, at the State Police Headquarters, Ikot Akpan Abia, Uyo.

The applicants are to appear on the dates indicated against their Local Government Areas of origin in their clean white T-shirt and shorts with the following mandatory basic requirements:

National Identity Number (NIN); Original and photocopies of credentials – O’ Level result(s), Certificate of Origin, and Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age – neatly arranged in two white flat files with recent passport photographs attached, as well as  printout of application submission confirmation page.

Other requirements are:

Duly completed Guarantor’s Form and facemasks worn by all applicants.

The statement said the screening and other activities relating to the recruitment exercise will be carried out in strict compliance with the COVID-19 prevention protocols.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Imohimi Edgal reiterates that the recruitment exercise is absolutely free of charge and without pecuniary obligation. He assures that the process will be conducted in a transparent manner,” said the statement.

“The CP further advises the applicants to be wary of online impostors, scammers and other criminal elements who might want to take advantage of the recruitment exercise to extort them, as anyone found wanting will be arrested and prosecuted,” the statement added.
