Nasarawa: Miyetti Allah moves to expose kidnappers, robbers to security agencies

Nasarawa State Chapter of Miyetti Allah Cattles Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), also known as Miyetti Allah, this weekend moved to expose kidnappers and all criminal elements to security agencies in the State.
The moved was part of their resolution reached at their emergency meeting of Hardos and members held in Lafia, the state capital.
Speaking at the meeting, Alhaji Mohammed Hussaini, Nasarawa State Chairman of MACBAN, said the decision was necessitated by their determination to address insecurity in the state.
ussaini said that most of the kidnappers in the state were from Zamfara, Niger, Kaduna, Bauchi and Kasina states among others.
He said that the criminals were those who have caused security problems in their respective states.
He explained that the Fulani people in the state have suffered a lot from the kidnappers as their people and their cattle were being kidnapped for ransom.
The Chairman of MACBAN in Nasarawa State however, said, there are few of their people in the state who are also criminals.
He noted that the few criminals among them were giving the entire Fulani people a bad name, as they were now being branded kidnappers and armed robbers.
He called on every Fulani family to expose criminals among them to show the world that they were good and peaceful people.
Also speaking, Lawal Dono, Chairman of Ardos in the state said as leaders, they would not harbour criminal elements.
Dono said that they would direct their people to provide the security agencies with relevant information about criminal elements since they are the once in the bush. (Saturday Independent)
