Tears and emotions flowed freely as heavyweights gathered in Lagos yesterday, Saturday, June 20, 2020, for the burial of ex-beauty queen Ibidunni Ighodalo.

The 39-year-old event planner extraordinaire and wife of popular Pastor Ituah Ighodalo of Trinity House Church passed away on Sunday, June 14 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State where she had gone to erect some COVID-19 isolation centres. She had suffered cardiac arrest during the dead of the night and could not survive it.

She was buried on Saturday afternoon at the Vaults and Gardens cemetery, with the funeral service aired live via the Trinity Church’s social media platforms.

Heavyweights in attendance included Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State; Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State (represented); immediate past Emir of Kano, Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Sanusi; and General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who was represented by his Personal Assistant, Pastor Idowu Oluyomade.

The late Ibidun, who is being mourned by millions for her philanthropy and kind-heartedness, is survived by her husband, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, their two children Keke and Zenan, her mother, and her siblings.
