20 Covid-19 patients in Malaysia have made full recovery
A total of 20 Covid-19 patients in Malaysia have made full recovery from the Covid-19 coronavirus infection, said the Health Ministry.
Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said only two people, the country’s 16th and 22nd cases, are still in hospital receiving treatment.
“The number of total infected cases remain at 22. The two patients are in stable condition,” he said in a statement on Tuesday.
He said as of Feb 23, a total of 7,617,964 people were screened at international entry points across the country.
“From these numbers, 27 people have been referred to hospitals and two positive Covid-19 cases were detected, which were patient cases 19 and 20.
“The two patients were detected with fever during a thermal screening at the entry points,” he said.
As of Tuesday, a total of 796 cases of patients-under-investigation (PUIs) have been reported to the Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC).
Dr Noor Hisham said the ministry is focused on prioritising the best strategy to prepare and respond to the Covid-19 cases.
“The ministry will continue to monitor any progress and new updates of the virus from the World Health Organisation (WHO). The public are advised to continuously practise proper hygiene care as a preventive measure,” he said. (Straits Times)
