Country Legend, Dolly Parton has been married to her husband, Carl Dean for 53yrs.
While the Superstar built a success career spanning over five decades, Carl remained the dutiful husband in the shadows never quite embracing the limelight her famous wife basked in.
Many may not understand the marriage which has produced no children but the couple is happy and have never shied away from expressing their love from each other though Carl remains in the background most of the time.
Not many marriages last that long, especially in the world of celebrities.
When asked the secret of a lasting marriage, Parton says it it’s a wife who forgives the foolishness of her husband and a husband who ignores the stupidity of his wife!
