A son of Nengi Talbot, commissioner of water resources in Bayelsa state, Antonio Talbot has been abducted..
ABUJAPEOPLE learnt that the assailants who invaded the commissioner’s residence at the commissioners’ quarters in Yenagoa on Sunday were four in number.
When contacted for reaction, the police public relations officer of the Bayelsa police command, Asinim Butswat said that a four-member gang invaded Talbots’s home at 11:30pm on Sunday and whisked the victim away to an unknown destination.
“The command has launched a manhunt to rescue the victim and arrest the suspects. An investigation is ongoing,” Butswat said.
The kidnappers are yet to establish contact with the family of the victim.
Cases of kidnapping have been on the rise is several states in the country.
