There’s palpable tension brewing in Benin city over the worsening insecurity situation in Nigeria as the perpetrators of the heinous crimes have once again proven illusive following the kidnap of Mr. Bennard Jomah of Dynamite Force Football club of Benin city Edo State along with two other persons at Okene-Abuja road, Kogi State on his way from Abuja on football related issues.
The confirmation came through a family source and informed that the Kidnappers had put a call to his wife with a demand of N20m (Twenty Million Naira) to secure his release, ABUJAPEOPLE has learnt.
It was learnt that the wife who was weeping with the children lamented that his husband cannot even boast of a hundred thousand naira as all he does with whatever money that comes to him is taking care of the footballers in his club and struggling to ensure the boys do not go back to the streets.
A source privy to the matter, Roland Abu, said the perpetrators have established contact with the family and have demanded ransom.
He urged friends and lovers of football to pray for him to be released unhurt to return to his family who have been in pains since yesterday.
