The Anambra Police command have arrested two persons for disposseing customers in a barber’s shop of their mobile phones, jewelries and other valuables.
ABUJAPEOPLE gathered that the duo, Oluebubechukwu Isaac, from Azu Ogbunike village, aged 20 years and another member of his gang, Ekezie Ifeanyi, aged 19 years from Osile village, Ogbunike had at about 8.10pm stormed a barber’s saloon in Ogbunike town, Oyi local government area about four days ago and dispossessed the customers of all their valuables, including mobile phones and jewelries at gun point.
Following the unfortunate incident, members of the vigilance group in the area alerted the police and the officers attached to Operations Kpochakpu II, Ogbunike division, Otuocha Area Command, aided by the vigilante members launched manhunt on the robbers and eventually arrested the two suspects, Oluebubechukwu and Ekezie who both male.
The image-maker of the Anambra state police Command, Mr. Haruna Mohammed who confirmed the arrest of the two suspects said that they allegedly went to a barber’s saloon located at No.3 Olisakwe crescent, Azu Ogbunike and robbed all the customers inside the shop of their belongings including handsets, jewelries and other valuables at gunpoint.
He stated that upon their arrest by men of the state police Command, that they recovered exhibits such as one locally made revolver pistol, two wrist watches, one gold coloured infinix phone, one white coloured lovona phone, one black power bank, one gold plated necklace and one Malaysian bag.
He stated further that the suspects have already confessed to the crime voluntarily and that they would be charged to court as soon as further investigation was concluded on the incident.
