Breaking: Abducted DELSUTH Medical Doctor regains freedom
Jerry Isogun, the abducted medical doctor of Delta State University Teaching Hospital (DELSUTH), Oghara, has regained freedom from the hands of his kidnappers.
ABUJAPEOPLE gathered that the medical practitioner was released about 8pm on Thursday after parting away with an undisclosed sum of money to secure his release.
Sources at the hospital confirmed the development Friday morning.
According to them, the abductors reportedly dumped him in a bush near Eku in Ethiope East council area of the state.
It was further learnt that the medical doctor is receiving treatment for injuries sustained during the ordeal at DELSUTH.
The Delta state Commissioner of Police, Mr Adeyinka Adeleke, also confirmed the development when contacted on Friday.
Confirming the release, the state commissioner of police, Adeleke, said “Yes, he (Isogun) has been released. He was released last night.”
Isogun who is president of the Resident Doctors of DELSUTH was reportedly kidnapped late Wednesday on his way home from work.
