FCT Minister, Mallam Muhammad Musa Bello, has constituted a ministerial task team to ensure free flow of traffic around life camp junction and kado fish market, and consequently directed all auto parts dealers, stationed taxi operators , stationed tricycles operators and other roadside traders immediately vacate the area.

The chairman of the team, Ikharo Attah handed down the directive when he led officials of the Department of Development Control and the Abuja Environmental Protection Board (AEPB) on an on-the-spot assessment of the area, ABUJAPEOPLE have learnt.
Speaking to those affected, Attah pointed out that their business along the roadside is affecting free flow of traffic, especially that a road billed for urgent opening would affect the area they place the containers use as shops.
Speaking earlier, the chairman of the traders, Mr Ikechukwu Okoye admitted that they were operating illegally by the roadside without allocation, he however pleaded that the task team suspends its exercise until January to give them enough time to prepare for a new place and make sales ahead of Christmas and New Year celebrations.
In his reaction, the chairman of the Task Force however said the FCT residents affected by the traffic gridlock cannot continue to suffer hardship in traffic because of few traders.
He thereafter asked the officials of the AEPB and their counterparts at the Development Control Department to immediately serve those affected notice to quit ahead of the operation billed for next week.
